Dancing Through Life: An Unexpected Connection Part 1

By

Ever experienced a person that you felt so deeply aligned with that it MUST be divine? Well, I have for the first time in my life, and damn! I want to share my experience with you, starting from the beginning. It all started with a phone call from my sister (let’s go out) she said. At first, I was hesitant. It had been quite some time since I had been outside on the “scene.” Something told me “Mya,Go.” Instead of declining, which had become my norm, I said “yes”. I can still recall the butterflies in my stomach after hanging up the phone with her. I also remember a statement suddenly popping up in my head. It was “you meet someone tonight.” I felt that was funny. I was really just excited to enjoying myself and some fresh air.

Let me give the tea on this outfit, sis! I am an Afrocentric queen, baby. I love a nice wrap and my gold accessories. Yes, I love my natural look. But when I am stepping out, I step. YOU FEEL ME. Needless to say, I was looking GOODT. I wore a tan-colored V-neck, sleeveless bodysuit. A light blue jean accentuated the curves, honey. My tan wrap was to the back, along with my gold accessories. Oh, and I love a good lipstick. It matched the vibe of my dress as well. heyyyyy! When we got there, I ordered my drink of choice, which will always be red wine. Then I began to hit the dance floor. The bar/ club, to my surprise, wasn’t too crowded at all. I was having such a good time. The corners of my mouth began to hurt from smiling and chatting so much. I surprised myself because I am usually quite reserved. I guess that was the old me because I was moving, grooving, and chatting the night away. I remember my brother nudging me with a taco in his hand. I had no idea where he got it. I knew I was ready to acquaint that taco with my stomach (lol). While I was devouring my COLD taco, I faintly remembered someone coming and sitting next to me. By that time, I was feeling my wine and my food, so I really did not pay them any mind. It’s getting chatty, so let’s do a part 2, friend.

We’d get along just fine, I bet! Red wine as go to drink, check. Hearing premonitive voices sometimes, check. Meeting people who burst through your inner walls and amaze you, check. You seem on a roll and I love it!

Can’t wait to read part two 😁
